Reading a class
This is the sitting shape we reuse. It is not a secret framework. It is a way of refusing to talk about an education app until the class is in the room.
The table before the screen
We print the week. Periods, assemblies, public holidays, and the one afternoon the class is at the padang. Only then do we open the education app’s class view. If a burst of activity sits in a period that was actually a fire drill, we strike it. If the app records “completion” when a pupil opens an item, we write that definition at the top of the page in pencil.
Three questions we ask every time
- Which lesson was this for? A reader opened during a mathematics period is a different object from the same reader opened during Bahasa.
- Who was in the room? Relief teachers, a combined class, or a pupil at a clinic will show up as holes or spikes.
- What would you already know without the app? Form teachers usually know who copies, who rereads, and who has no device at home. The sitting is for lining that knowledge against the file, not replacing it.
What we refuse
We will not average two year groups to make a prettier line. We will not treat a vendor’s “mastery” label as a school-based assessment grade. We will not sit in a hall of fifty people and call that a review.
If this matches the conversation you need, look at the measurement review or write with the class name.
